Abstract:
(EN) A braking system comprising a source of brake actuating fluid under pressure (S), a brake actuator (B), a relay valve (8) operative between the source (S) and the actuator (B), a manually operable control valve (M) to provide a fluid pressure control signal and a control device (9) to operate on the control signal to control the relay valve (8) in a first mode in which application of the brake actuating fluid from the source (S) to the brake actuator (B) is controlled manually or in a second mode in which the application of fluid under pressure from the source (S) to the brake actuator (B) is controlled by an anti-lock brake controller wherein the control device (9) is provided with a control chamber (32) wherein a valve member (34) is movable between a first position in which an unimpeded flow of the control signal through the chamber (32b) is permitted and second position in which the valve member (34) provides an impedance to the flow of the control signal, the construction and arrangement being such that the valve member (34) adopts said first position in the first mode of the control device (9) and the second position in the second mode of the control device (9).
(FR) Un circuit de freinage comporte une source de fluide sous pression (S) pour l'actionnement des freins, un actuateur de freins (B), une servo-soupape (8) agissant entre la source (S) et l'actuateur (B), une soupape de commande (M) actionnable manuellement pour délivrer un signal de commande de pression fluidique, et un dispositif de commande (9) pour agir sur le signal de commande en vue de commander la servo-soupape (8) dans un premier mode, dans lequel l'application du fluide d'actionnement de freins, depuis la source (S) jusqu'à l'actuateur de freins (B), est commandée manuellement, ou bien dans un deuxième mode dans lequel l'application du fluide sous pression depuis la source (S) jusqu'à l'actuateur de freins (B) est commandée par une unité de commande de freins antiblocage. Le dispositif de commande (9) est pourvu d'une chambre de commande (32) dans laquelle une soupape (34) est mobile entre une première position permettant un acheminement sans entraves du signal de commande à travers la chambre (32), et une deuxième position dans laquelle la soupape (34) constitue un obstacle au passage du signal de commande. La structure et la configuration sont telles que la soupape (34) adopte ladite première position dans le premier mode du dispositif de commande (9) et la deuxième position dans le deuxième mode du dispositif de commande (9).
