Abstract:
(EN) A controlled flexure element, suitable for use as a gripping element for a robotic end effector, comprises a body (5) made from a resilient material such as natural or synthetic rubber. The body (5) includes a cavity (14) which is bounded on opposite sides by wall portions (18, 20) which have different compliances from each other. Inflation of the cavity, for example by compressed air, causes the cavity (14) to expand. The more compliant wall portion (18) is extended more than the less compliant wall portion (20), causing the element (4) to flex in the region of the cavity (14).
(FR) Un élément souple commandé, apte à être utilisé comme élément de serrage pour un organe préhenseur robotique, comprend un corps (5) de matériau élastique tel que le caoutchouc naturel ou synthétique. Le corps (5) comprend une cavité (14) qui est limitée sur deux côtés opposés par des parois (18, 20) dont les caractéristiques flexionnelles sont différentes.
