Abstract:
(EN) The invention device includes a tube member (32) adapted to be fitted at one end thereof in the outer end (22a) of the endotracheal tube (22) and fitted at the other end thereof to a breathing tube (48) leading to the anesthesia/breathing machine (50) and a drum member (34) positioned radially of the tube member (32) and defining a membrane (40) communicating with an aperture in the side wall of the tube member. The drum member further defines a chamber radially outwardly of the membrane and a fitting (34c) in the side wall of the drum member is adapted to be connected to the hose (52) of an aural stethoscope (54) so that the attending medical person may readily monitor the nature and frequency of the breath sounds emitted by the patient during the anesthesia/surgical procedure.
(FR) Le dispositif de l'invention comprend un tube (32) s'adaptant par l'une de ses extrémités dans l'extrémité externe (22a) du tube endotrachéal (22) et s'adaptant par son autre extrémité à un tube de respiration (48) menant à la machine d'anesthésie/respiration (50) ainsi qu'un tambour (34) positionné radialement sur le tube (32) et définissant une membrane communiquant avec une ouverture ménagée dans la paroi latérale du tube (32). Le tambour définit en outre une chambre radialement extérieure à la membrane et un raccord (34c) dans la paroi latérale du tambour est adaptée pour être connectée au tuyau (52) d'un stéthoscope perçu par l'oreille (54) de sorte que l'assistant médical peut contrôler rapidement la nature et la fréquence des sons respiratoires émis par le patient pendant la procédure d'anesthésie/chirurgie.
