Abstract:
(EN) An apparatus for electrophotographically manufacturing a luminescent screen assembly on a substrate (18), for use within a CRT includes a developer for developing a photoconductive layer (34), having a latent image thereon, with dry-powdered, triboelectrically-charged screen structure materials (48, 48'). The photoconductive layer (34) overlies a conductive layer (32) in contact with the substrate (18). A grid-developing electrode (44) is located at a distance from the photoconductive layer that is large relative to the smallest dimension of the latent image. The electrode is biased with a suitable potential, to influence the deposition of the charged screen structure materials onto the latent image on the photoconductive layer. A method for electrophotographically manufacturing the screen assembly utilizing the grid-developing electrode is also disclosed.
(FR) Un appareil de fabrication électrophotographique d'un ensemble d'écran luminescent sur un substrat (18), utilisé dans un terminal à écran cathodique, comprend un développeur permettant de développer une couche photoconductrice (34) sur laquelle se trouve une image latente, à l'aide de matières (48, 48') de structure d'écran réduites en poudre sèche, chargées trioboélectriquement. La couche photoconductrice (34) recouvre une couche conductrice (32) en contact avec le substrat (18). Une électrode (44) de développement de grille est située à une certaine distance de la couche photoconductrice, laquelle est grande par rapport à la dimension la plus petite de l'image latente. L'électrode est polarisée à l'aide d'un potentiel adapté, afin d'influencer le dépôt des matières de structure d'écran chargées sur l'image latente, sur la couche photoconductrice.
