Abstract:
(EN) In a particle detecting instrument, a particle detecting cell comprises a laser plasma tube (11) in combination with a glass prism (15) through which a fluid channel (17) is defined. The glass prism (15) abuts the transmitting end of the laser plasma tube (11) and the end wall (13) of the prism (15) is arranged at the Brewster angle with respect to the plasma tube (11) axis. The fluid channel (17) defined in the prism (15) is also arranged at the Brewster angle with respect to the laser beam passing through the prism (15). A mirror (20) is provided on the prism (15) to reflect the light back through the prism (15) into the plasma tube (11). The mirror (20) is positioned so that the light reflected back into the plasma tube (11) is in phase with the light amplified within the plasma tube (11). A mount is provided for the mirror (20) to adjust its lateral and angular position.
(FR) Dans un instrument de détection de particules, une cellule de détection de particules comprend un tube de plasma laser (11) en combinaison avec un prisme de verre (15) au travers duquel est défini un canal de fluide (17). Le prisme en verre (15) appuie contre l'extrémité de transmission du tube (11) de plasma laser et la paroi extrême (13) du prisme (15) est agencée selon un angle d'incidence brewstérienne par rapport aux rayons laser passant par le prisme (15). Un miroir (20) est prévu sur le prisme (15) pour renvoyer la lumière au travers du prisme (15) dans le tube à plasma (11).
