Abstract:
(EN) A progressive cavity drive train which includes a progressive cavity device and a coupling for converting the complex motion of the rotor (12) into simple rotation. The coupling includes two offset shafts (22, 24), coupled to one another by offset lug members (23A, 23B). The drive train can be used to convert fluid pressure into rotation of a drill bit in a drilling apparatus. Alternatively, the drive train can be used to convert driving rotation from a motor or engine into fluid pumping action of the progressive cavity device.
(FR) Une transmission à cavité progressive comprend un dispositif de cavité progressive ainsi qu'un accouplement permettant de convertir le mouvement complexe du rotor (12) en une rotation simple. L'accouplement comprend deux arbres décalés (22, 24) accouplés l'un à l'autre par des éléments d'oreille (23A, 23B) décalés. On peut utiliser la transmission afin de convertir la pression d'un fluide en rotation d'un foret dans un appareil de perçage. Selon un autre mode de réalisation, on peut utiliser la transmission afin de convertir la rotation d'entraînement d'un moteur en une action de pompage de fluide du dispositif à cavité progressive.
