Abstract:
(EN) A hydraulic setting and release tool (10) has a shear out setting assembly (12) attached to a string coupling member (14). Upon reaching a predetermined hydraulic pressure, a piston (20) of the tool (40) shears restraining shear pins (22) and moves in a body of the tool to release dogs (15) that engage the coupling member (14). When the dogs (15) release, springs (16) retract the dogs (15) from engagement in sockets (34) of the coupling member (14) and the shear out setting assembly (12) separates from the coupling member (14). When used in running in a liner, the coupling member is a running head (14) that rotates the liner during running in and cementing. When used as a drill string release tool, the coupling member is a release sub (44), the tool (10) being placed serially with other string components. If the drill string gets stuck, it is separated by merely increasing the hydraulic pressure sufficiently to shear the pins (22) and allow the piston (20) to move and the dogs (15) to retract to separate the release sub from the shear out assembly (12).
(FR) Un outil (10) de mise en place et à libération hydraulique comporte un ensemble (12) de mise en place à cisaillement, fixé à un élément (14) d'accouplement de colonne. Lorsqu'il atteint une pression hydraulique prédéterminée, un piston (20) de l'outil (40) cisaille des broches (22) de cisaillement de maintien, et se déplace dans un corps de l'outil afin de libérer des chiens (15) s'engageant dans l'élément d'accouplement. Lorsque lesdits chiens (15) se libèrent, des ressorts (16) rétractent lesdits chiens (15) de leur engagement dans des emboîtures (34) de l'élément (14) d'accouplement et ledit ensemble (12) de mise en place par cisaillement se sépare de l'élément (14) d'accouplement. Lorsqu'on l'utilise dans la descente d'un tubage, ledit élément d'accouplement se présente sous la forme d'une tête (14) de descente, faisant tourner le tubage pendant la descente et le cimentage. Lorsqu'on l'utilise comme outil de libération de train de tiges, l'élément d'accouplement constitue une réduction (44) de libération, l'outil (10) étant placé de manière sérielle avec d'autres constituants de colonne. Si le train de tiges se coince, on le sépare simplement en augmentant la pression hydraulique suffisamment afin de cisailler les broches (22) et de permettre aux pistons (20) de se déplacer, ainsi qu'aux chiens (15) de se rétracter afin de séparer la réduction de libération de l'ensemble (12) de cisaillement.
