Abstract:
(EN) A highly automated modular facility and process for continuously culturing photosynthetic cells and microorganisms on a commercially large scale are disclosed, including pretreating culture water automatically, culturing in continuously flowing medium within a horizontally disposed electronically monitored and regulated conduit, and continuous harvesting of the most concentrated portion of the culture by means of a sedimentation and drying system employing gravity, centrifugation and solar energy. The culture water is conserved and recycled.
(FR) On a mis au point une unité modulaire hautement automatisée ainsi qu'un procédé de culture en continu de cellules et de microorganismes photosynthétiques sur une grande échelle commerciale, consistant à prétraiter de l'eau de culture automatiquement, à procéder à la mise en culture dans un milieu circulant de manière continue à l'intérieur d'un conduit horizontal contrôlé et régulé électroniquement, et à récolter en continu la partie la plus concentrée de la culture au moyen d'un système de sédimentation et de séchage employant l'énergie gravitationnelle de centrifugation et solaire. L'eau de la culture est conservée et est recyclée.
