Title: PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR ADSORPTIVE SEPARATION OF MATERIALS
Abstract:
In the process for adsorptive separation of materials, using a surface-type microporous adsorbent which is transported relative to the medium to separated, the medium flows through the adsorbent. In this way, the fluid to be processed is transported by convection through the adsorbent. The latter, which is preferably in the form of a strip, is transported at a suitable speed, whereby, after the medium to be separated has flowed through it, it is either rolled up in order to undergo subsequent retreatment (rinsing through, desorption, regeneration) or is directly subjected to treatment media in subsequent stages. The device for adsorptive separation of materials using a surface-type microporous adsorbent which is transported relative to the medium to be separated comprises the adsorbent in the form of a strip, which is routed and driven over drums (72, 84, 96, 102), whereby the medium (76) to be separated is gravity-fed or made to flow by an overpressure through the adsorbent strip (70). The device can be operated either discontinuously or continuously.
