(EN)The invention relates to a non-human CD4 polypeptide, fragments thereof, immunotoxins comprising said protein, and chimeric proteins comprising said CD4 polypeptide and immunoglobulin light or heavy chain. The invention also relates to the use of said proteins as diagnostic agents and therapeutics. The invention further relates to nucleotide sequences which encode said CD4 polypeptides and the use thereof for expression of the CD4 proteins in recombinant host cells.
