Abstract

A reagent useful in immunoassays and the like comprises micro particles of latex (polystyrene) containing therein a water-insoluble fluorophore such as a laser dye, with the fluorophore being essentially absent from the particle surfaces. The particles can be sensitised with specific binding reagents such as antibodies. The fluorophore-containing particles exhibit constant fluorescent yield, and provide improved labels useful in sensitive quantitative assays.

Un réactif utilisable dans le domaine des immunodosages et analogue comprend des microparticules de latex (polystyrène) renfermant un fluorogène insoluble dans l'eau tel qu'un colorant laser, le fluorogène étant essentiellement absent des surfaces des particules. On peut sensibiliser les particules au moyen de réactifs de liaison spécifiques tels que des anticorps. Les particules renfermant du fluorogène présentent un rendement de fluorescence constant et fournissent des étiquettes mieux adaptées au domaine des dosages quantitatifs sensibles.
