Title
(EN) A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PACKINGS WITH A TEARABLE WELDING CLOSURE
(FR) PROCEDE DE FABRICATION D'EMBALLAGES AVEC FERMETURE SOUDEE DECHIRABLE
Abstract
(EN)
With carton packings having prepared, tearable access openings it frequently happens that the tearing cannot be accomplished in a fully controlled manner, as particularly known for juice and wine cartons (30). According to the invention there is placed along the tear-up length a strip member (6) consisting of two plastic strips (18, 20), which are laid together and mutually joined by a peel seal welding, the plastic strips being firmly connected with the respective carton edge areas along the opening length. Thereby the user may effect a well controlled tearing of the closure, and the latter may even be reclosable when the plastic strips are shaped with mutually engaging profile portions (26, 28).
(FR)
