Abstract

This invention relates to selective call receivers (11), such as paging receivers, for receiving modulated data signals having a variable bit rate. A band pass filter (26), particularly an I. F. filter, is provided having an adjustable bandwidth. The bandwidth of the filter is adjusted in accordance with a code in the received signal which indicates the bit rate.

L'invention concerne des récepteurs d'appels sélectifs (11), tels que des récepteurs de poche, destinés à recevoir des signaux de données modulés ayant un débit variable. On a prévu un filtre (26) passe-bande, notamment un filtre FI (de fréquence intermédiaire), ayant une largeur de bande réglable. On règle la largeur de bande du filtre selon un code se trouvant dans le signal reçu, lequel indique le débit.
