Abstract
(EN)
A terrain light fixture (1) has a hollow body (10) that is normally sunk within the ground (2), and a movable member (20) disposed to telescope between a position retracted within the body (10) and substantially flush with the ground surface (2) and a position extended above the ground surface. The movable member (20) carries a light source (60), typically a 12 v.d.c. high intensity light bulb, that is energized in the extended position of the moveable member (20). The motive force to move the member is provided by an electrical lift mechanism (30), preferably either an electric motor or a shape-memory alloy. The motor-based lift mechanism (30) operates equivalently to the power antenna of an automobile. The shape-memory alloy is typically configured as a spring. The application of electrical energization to both the light source (60) and to the lift mechanism (30) is preferably enabled by a switch (72) that is responsive to sensed ambient light conditions. The energizing power (50) may be external, or may be provided by an internal battery which is rechargeable from a solar array.

Un dispositif d'éclairage (1) pour l'extérieur possède un corps creux (10) qui est normalement enfoui dans la terre (2) ainsi qu'un élément mobile (20) disposé pour se déplacer télescopiquement entre une position rétractée à l'intérieur du corps (10) sensiblement à ras avec la surface du sol (2) et une position étendue au dessus de la surface de la terre. L'élément mobile (20) porte une source lumineuse (60), en général une ampoule de haute intensité de 12 V en courant continu qui est excitée dans la position étendue de l'organe mobile (20). La force motrice nécessaire pour faire bouger l'élément mobile est fournie par un mécanisme électrique de levage (30), de préférence soit un moteur électrique soit un alliage à mémoire de forme. Le mécanisme (30) de levage à moteur électrique fonctionne à la manière d'une antenne électrique d'un véhicule automobile. L'alliage à mémoire de forme possède une configuration générale de ressort.
