Abstract
(EN)
A butterfly valve (10) includes a duct (12) defining a fluid flow path (16) and a plate-like valve member (20) pivotal in the duct to in one position close the latter. The valve member (20) is pivotal to a second position spanning the duct and extending parallel to the flow path to allow fluid flow therein. Means (30, 82) are provided for altering the effective area distribution of the valve member (20) about its pivot axis (28) in order to effect pivotal movement of the valve member in response to fluid dynamic flow forces. An actuator (30) carried upon the valve member cooperates with the duct (12) to forcefully effect initial opening and final closing movements of the valve member.

Un robinet papillon (10) comprend une conduite (12) définissant une voie d'écoulement de liquide (16) ainsi qu'un organe du robinet ressemblant à une plaque (20) pivotant dans ladite conduite à des positions dont une se trouve à proximité dudit organe. L'organe du robinet (20) peut pivoter vers une deuxième position où il traverse la conduite, et s'étend parallèlement à la voie d'écoulement de manière à y permettre l'écoulement du liquide. On prévoit des moyens (30, 82) pour modifier la distribution sur surface utile par l'organe du robinet (20) autour de son axe de pivotement (28) de manière à effectuer un mouvement pivotant dudit organe en fonction des effets d'écoulement dynamique de liquide. Un actionneur (30) monté sur l'organe du robinet coopère avec la conduite (12) de manière à appliquer une force permettant d'effectuer les mouvements d'ouverture initiale et de fermeture finale de l'organe du robinet.
