Abstract

Device for harnessing wind energy, comprising a number of propeller elements which are fitted rotatably on a rotary shaft which is coupled or can be coupled to an electricity generator situated in the housing, the housing being pivotable about a vertical axis. The propeller elements (14) are pivotable about tangential axes relative to a slide (36) which is slidable along the shaft (13), and that they are provided with means (37, 38) for holding them in an angular position relative to the shaft and for altering that angular position. Preferably the means for holding and altering the angular position of the propeller elements (14) comprise bars (38), one end of which is hingedly fixed on an intermediate point along the length of the propeller elements, and the other end of which is hingedly fixed to a second slide (37) which is slidable along the shaft. Also preferably the propeller elements (14) in their fully collapsed position, in which they form a minimal angle with the shaft, are situated at least with the greater part of their length in a chamber in the housing (2). Most advantageously the housing (2) is designed as a ship which is disposed so that it pivots relative to the seabed.

Le dispositif décrit, qui sert à capter l'énergie éolienne, comprend un certain nombre d'éléments d'hélice, qui sont montés rotatifs sur un arbre rotatif, lequel est couplé ou peut être couplé à un générateur d'électricité situé dans le logement, celui-ci pouvant pivoter autour d'un axe vertical. Les éléments d'hélice (14) peuvent pivoter autour d'axes tangentiels par rapport à un coulisseau (36) glissant le long de l'arbre (13), et ils sont pourvus d'organes (37, 38) servant à les maintenir dans une position angulaire par rapport à l'arbre et à modifier cette position angulaire. Les organes maintenant et modifiant la position angulaire des éléments d'hélice (14) se composent de préférence de barres (38), dont une extrémité est fixée articulée en un point intermédiaire sur la longueur des éléments d'hélice et dont l'autre extrémité est fixée articulée à un second coulisseau (37) pouvant glisser le long de l'arbre. En outre, les éléments d'hélice (14), lorsqu'ils se trouvent en position totalement repliée, dans laquelle ils forment un angle minimum par rapport à l'arbre, sont situés de préférence au moins avec la partie la plus grande de leur longueur dans une chambre contenue dans le logement (2). Le logement (2) est de préférence conçu sous la forme d'une embarcation, qui est destinée à pivoter par rapport au fond marin.
