A method for compensating movements or force variations by means of a passive pneumo-hydraulic heave compensation system when carrying a subsea load hanging from a floating vessel subject to movement caused by waves. In order to reduce the hysteresis of the compensation system, the subsea mass is lightened by adding a constant lifting force to the subsea mass.

Une méthode permettant de compenser des variations de mouvements ou d'efforts en utilisant un système de compensation de tangage pneumo-hydraulique passif lors du transport d'une charge sous-marine suspendue à un vaisseau flottant pouvant se soumettre à un mouvement provoqué par des vagues. Afin de réduire l'hystérésis dudit système de compensation, on allège la masse sous-marine en y ajoutant une force portante constante.
