Acquisition of CT transmission data and omission data is achieved with the same scanner. Because the transmission and emission date sets are spatially registered, the map of attenuation coefficients described by the reconstructed transmission images can be used for generating a mathematically correct matrix for correction of sequentially or simultaneously aquired SPECT imaging data. The imaging devices can be gamma cameras (4).

L'acquisition de données par tomographie calculées par transmission et émission est réalisée avec le même analyseur. Les séries de données de transmission et d'émission étant spatialement enregistrées, la carte des coefficients d'attenuation décrite par les images de transmission restructurée peut être utilisée pour la genération d'une matrice mathématiquement précise pour la correction de données d'imagerie. Les dispositifs imageurs peuvent être caméras gamma (4).
