(EN)Carbonic esters are important as an extender for gasoline, an octane number improver and an organic solvent, and further as a substitute for phosgene used in the production of isocyanates, polycarbonates and intermediates of various agricultural chemicals and medicines. They can be efficiently produced according to this invention by reacting an alcohol with carbon monoxide and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst comprising a tertiary organophosphorus compound having a phenyl or alkyl group and copper halide.
(FR)Les esters carboniques sont importants en tant qu'additifs pour l'essence, agents améliorant l'indice d'octane et solvants organiques, ainsi que comme substituts de phosgène utilisé dans la production d'isocyanates, de polycarbonates et d'intermédiaires de divers produits chimiques et de médicaments. Ils peuvent être produits d'une manière efficace, selon cette invention, en faisant réagir un alcool avec du monoxyde de carbone et de l'oxygène en présence d'un catalyseur comprenant un composé d'organophosphore tertiaire ayant un groupe phényle ou alkyle et de l'halogénure de cuivre.
