Abstract

Peaks are detected in the waveform (2) and in response to the detection of peaks, successive segments of the waveform are sampled (3). The successive segments sampled are then summed (4) with previously summed segments to produce a stabilised image of the waveform. The generation of the stabilised image is a data-driven process and one which is sensitive and responsive to periodic characteristics of the waveform and hence is particularly useful in the analysis of sound waves and in speech recognition system.

Les crêtes de la forme d'onde sont détectées (2) et, en réponse à cette détection, des segments successifs de la forme d'onde sont échantillonnés (3). Les segments successifs ainsi échantillonnés sont ensuite totalisés (4) avec les segments précédemment totalisés, pour produire une image stabilisée de la forme d'onde. La génération de l'image stabilisée est un processus commandé par base de données, qui est sensible et réagit aux caractéristiques périodiques de la forme d'onde et qui est par conséquent particulièrement utile dans l'analyse des ondes sonores et dans des systèmes de reconnaissance de la parole.
