Es wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Feststellung biologischer Aktivitäten in einer Probe, beispielsweise in einer Blutprobe, vorgeschlagen, wobei ein verschließbarer Behälter vorgesehen ist, welcher eine Nährlösung enthält und zur Aufnahme der Probe dient, wobei Einrichtungen vorgesehen sind, die bei vorliegen von Mikroorganismen in der Probe metabolische Prozesse ermöglichen, wobei sich die Konzentration der durch den Metabolismus umsetzbaren Stoffe ändert. Zur Erfassung der Konzentrationsänderungen sind direkt mit der Probe in Kontakt stehende Optoden (3a, 3b, 3c) sowie eine den Optoden zugeordnete Anregungs- und Detektionseinrichtung (8) vorgesehen, mit welcher eine Auswerteeinrichtung (15) zur Feststellung der zeitlichen Änderung der Konzentration der Stoffe verbunden ist.

A process and device for determining biological activities in a sample, for instance a blood sample, is proposed in which there is a sealable vessel which contains a nutritive solution and serves to hold the sample, with devices which, in the presence of micro-organisms in the sample, facilitate metabolic processes during which the concentration of the substances transformable by the metabolism alters. In order to detect the changes in concentration there are optodes (3a, 3b, 3c) in contact with the sample and an exciting and detection device (8) allocated to the optodes to which is connected an assessment device (15) to determine the change in the concentration of the substances over time.

Procédé et dispositif pour la mise en évidence d'activités biologiques dans un échantillon, par exemple, dans un échantillon sanguin. On utilise un récipient obturable renfermant une solutioin nutritive et destiné à recevoir l'échantillon. Des dispositifs servant à stimuler des processus métaboliques lorsque des micro-organismes sont présents dans l'échantillon, la concentration des substances transformables par le métabolisme étant alors modifiée. Pour déterminer les variations de concentration, on a prévu des optodes (3a, 3b, 3c) directement en contact avec l'échantillon, ainsi qu'un dispositif d'activation et de détection (8) associé aux optodes, auquel est relié un dispositif d'évaluation (15) permettant de suivre les variations dans la concentration de la substance.
