Autoantibodies which enhance the rate of a chemical reaction of a substrate, processes for their preparation, their use and compositions thereof are disclosed. In particular, an autoantibody capable of catalyzing the hydrolysis of the peptide bond between amino acid residues Thr7-Asp8, Arg14-Lys15, Gln16-Met17, Met17-Ala18, Ala18-Val19, Lys20-Lys21, Lys21-Tyr22 in the neurotransmitter vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) is disclosed.

L'invention concerne des auto-anticorps qui augmentent la vitesse d'une réaction chimique d'un substrat, des procédés pour leur préparation, leur utilisation et leur composition. En particulier, l'invention concerne un auto-anticorps pouvant catalyser l'hydrolyse de la liaison peptide entre des restes d'acides aminés Thr7-Asp8, Arg14-Lys15, Gln16-Met17, Met17-Ala18, Ala18-Val19, Lys20-Lys21, Lys21-Tyr22 dans le peptide intestinal vasoactif neurotransmetteur (PIV).
