Abstract

A flow control and pressure reducing valve has a valve body (5) with an inlet chamber (6) and outlet chamber (7) separated by a partition plate (5a). A plurality of passages are formed in the valve body spaced circumferentially around the partition plate (5a) and have an inlet portion opening into the inlet chamber (6) and an outlet portion opening into the outlet chamber (7). Elastomeric flow control means (25) are positioned in the passages and are responsive to pressurized fluid introduced therein to control flow of fluid through the passages around the partition plate (5a). The valve configuration allows the mounting of inlet and outlet gates (220, 203) within the inlet and outlet chambers to eliminate the need for separate gate valves. An auxiliary flow passage (10) may be provided through the partition plate and flow controlled therethrough to increase the flow capacity of the valve yet still provide full flow and pressure control. Air inlet and relief valve (17, 20) may also be provided as an integral part of the valve.

Une soupape de réduction de pression et de commande de l'écoulement possède un corps (5) avec une chambre d'admission (6) et une chambre de décharge (7) séparée par une plaque de séparation (5a). Plusieurs passages sont formés dans le corps de la soupape espacés à la circonférence autour de la plaque de séparation (5a) et ont une ouverture dans la chambre d'admission (6) et une ouverture dans la chambre de décharge (7). Des moyens de régulation d'écoulement (25) en matériau élastomère sont positionnés dans les passages et sont sensibles à un fluide sous pression entrant par ces passages pour réguler l'écoulement du fluide au travers des passages autour de la plaque de séparation (5a). La conception de la soupape permet le montage d'obturateurs d'admission et de décharge (220, 203) dans les chambres d'admission et de décharge pour éliminer le besoin d'avoir recours à des soupapes à obturateurs séparés. Un passage d'écoulement auxiliaire (10) peut être prévu au travers de la plaque de séparation pour réguler l'écoulement au travers de cette dernière et augmenter la capacité d'écoulement de la soupape tout en assurant une commande totale de la presssion et de l'écoulement. Une soupape d'entrée et de libération d'air (17, 20) peut également être prévue comme partie intégrante de la soupape réductrice.
