Abstract

Accelerator compositions for the curing of unsaturated maleic, vinylic, allylic and epoxy-type polyesters, are disclosed. The accelerator compositions comprise a complex of a salt of a metal selected from lithium, vanadium, copper, nickel, magnesium, iron and cobalt, and a nitrogen-containing compound capable of forming a complex with these metal salts and being selected from ammonia, ammonium salts, amines, amides, heterocyclic nitrogen compounds and their adducts with anhydrides and epoxides. Also disclosed are a curable composition comprising resin and the accelerator composition of the invention and a curing process carried out in the presence of an accelerator composition of the invention.

L'invention concerne des compositions servant d'accélérateurs pour la vulcanisation de polyesters maléiques, vinyliques, allyliques et du type époxy insaturés. Ces compositions servant d'accélérateurs comprennent un complexe d'un sel d'un métal choisi dans le groupe composé du lithium, du vanadium, du cuivre, du nickel, du magnésium, du fer et du cobalt, ainsi qu'un composé contenant de l'azote capable de former un complexe avec ces sels de métaux et étant choisi parmi l'ammoniac, des sels d'ammonium, des amines, des amides, des composés d'azote hétérocycliques et des produits de leur addition avec des anhidrides et des époxydes. L'invention décrit également une composition vulcanisable comprenant de la résine et la composition accélératrice de la présente invention, ainsi qu'un procédé de vulcanisation effectué en présence d'une composition accélératrice de la présente invention.
