Abstract:
(EN) A method and apparatus for market trading is disclosed, the apparatus generally comprising a host processor and a plurality of user terminals in selective communication with the host. Each user terminal includes a selectively partitionable display (205-1, 5, 6, 206, 207) by which market information is conveyed to a participant. Among other features, the method involves the use of icons (205-2, 3) for representing traders, each icon including information relevant to the commodity being traded. The method and apparatus are applicable to markets for trading commodities such as securities, securities options, futures contracts and futures options.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de commercialisation. Ledit appareil comprend un ordinateur central ainsi qu'une pluralité de terminaux d'utilisateurs en communication sélective avec ledit ordinateur central. Chaque terminal d'utilisateur comprend un affichage (205-1, 5, 6, 206, 207) pouvant être subdivisé sélectivement, au moyen duquel des informations relatives à des marchés sont fournies à un participant. Entre autres caractéristiques, le procédé met en ÷uvre des symboles graphiques (205-2, 3) destinés à représenter des négociants, chaque symbole graphique comprenant des informations relatives à la marchandise commercialisée. Le procédé et l'appareil s'appliquent à des marchés de commercialisation de marchandises telles que des valeurs, des options sur valeurs, des contrats à terme ainsi que des options à terme.
