Abstract
(EN)
A permeable breakwater (10) for submerged offshore or seawall retentive installation includes a base (24) and permeable opposed sides (26), (28) terminating at an upwardly projecting permeable wave wall (60). The breakwater is located offshore to cause moderate to heavy waves to break further offshore thereby dissipating their energy before reaching the beach.

Un brise-lames (10) pour installation de rétention submergée au large ou de digue de mer, comprend une base (24) ainsi que des côtés (26), (28) perméables opposés aboutissant à un mur perméable (60) arrêtant les vagues, saillant vers le haut. Ledit brise-lames se situe au large afin de briser plus au large les vagues moyennes à fortes, dissipant ainsi leur énergie avant qu'elles n'atteignent la plage.
