The foremost end of the tire forming material (S) fed by the material feeding device (3) is gripped by a chuck device (4), introduced onto the tire-former (2) covered with a carcass (T) beforehand, and then mounted on the carcass (T). A presser (6) operates to press the tire forming material (S) to the carcass (T) and, at the same time, the tire-former (2) rotates at a predetermined angle and sticks the tire forming material (S) to the carcass (T). Afterward, a cutter (5) operates to cut off the tire forming material (S) to a length equal to the sum of the required length for joint and the overall circumferential length of the carcass. The tire-former (2) again rotates to stick the tire forming material (S) to the entire circumference of the carcass (T), presses the foremost and rearmost ends of the carcass with the presser (6), thereby completing the sticking. The method and apparatus (1) for sticking the tire forming material according to this invention realizes a great improvement in the productivity by virtue of automated operation when compared with manual operation by the operator, and requires non of skillfulness of the operator. The quality of the products is on a constant and high level, thereby improving the uniformity of the tire.

L'extrémité la plus en avant du matériau de formage de pneus (S) que fait avancer un dispositif d'alimentation en matériau (3) est saisie par un organe de mandrin (4), introduite dans l'appareil de formage de pneu (2) recouvert au préalable d'une carcasse (T), et montée ensuite sur la carcasse (T). Un organe presseur (6) comprime le matériau de formage de pneus (S) contre la carcasse (T) et, simultanément, l'appareil de formage de pneus (2) tourne sur un angle déterminé et colle le matériau de formage de pneu (S) sur la carcasse (T). Ensuite, un couteau (5) découpe le matériau de formage de pneu (S) à une longueur égale à la somme de la longueur requise pour le joint et la longueur de la circonférence de la carcasse. L'appareil de formage de pneus (2) tourne encore pour coller le matériau de formage de pneus (S) sur toute la circonférence de la carcasse (T), comprime les extrémités avant et arrière de la carcasse à l'aide de l'organe presseur (6), de manière à compléter le collage. Le procédé et le dispositif (1) de collage du matériau de formage de pneus ci-décrits améliorent considérablement la productivité, étant donné qu'ils permettent l'automatisation des étapes de production, jusqu'à présent manuelles, et n'exigent aucune dextérité de la part de l'opérateur. La qualité des produits présente un niveau élevé constant, et l'uniformité des pneus s'en trouve améliorée.
