Abstract
(EN)
A borehole (2) serves to produce e.g. hydrocarbons in a preferably soft or relatively soft underground formation (1), such as chalk or sandstone. The borehole (2) is surrounded by a substantially tubular reinforcement shell (9), which consists of strain-hardened formation material. The borehole (2) is formed by first predrilling a small hole and then rolling said hole up to final borehole diameter by deforming the formation material plastically so that it strain-hardens in a depth corresponding to the desired thickness of the reinforcement shell (9). A self-propelling drive assembly (5) with a plurality of driven, elastic rollers (6) is used for this process, said rollers successively rolling down the borehole wall (7) and transferring the pressure force and moment from the drill bit (3) to the wall (7). Hereby horizontal boreholes can be formed far deeper into shallow hydrocarbon-bearing strata of the type which are found e.g. in the underground below the North Sea, so that these can be exploited profitably.

Le trou de forage décrit (2) sert à l'extraction par exemple d'hydrocarbures dans une formation souterraine de préférence molle ou relativement molle (1), par exemple de craie ou de grès. Le trou de forage (2) est entouré par une enveloppe de renforcement sensiblement tubulaire (9), qui se compose d'un matériau de formation durcit par écrouissage. On forme le trou de forage (2) d'abord en effectuant le percement préalable d'un petit trou et ensuite en alésant par roulage aux cylindres le trou de forage jusqu'à obtenir le diamètre final par déformation plastique du matériau de formation qui durcit alors par écrouissage jusqu'à une profondeur correspondant à l'épaisseur désirée de l'enveloppe de renforcement (9). Une unité d'entraînement automotrice (5) pourvue de plusieurs cylindres élastiques menés (6), est utilisée pour la réalisation dudit procédé, les cylindres alésant progressivement par roulage la paroi (7) du trou de forage et transférant la force et le moment de pression du trépan de forage (3) à la paroi (7). Des trous de forage horizontaux peuvent ainsi être formés beaucoup plus profondément dans des couches de gisements d'hydrocarbures peu profonds du type qu'on trouve notamment sous le fond de la mer du Nord, ce qui permet l'exploitation profitable de ces gisements.
