This invention relates to a method for exactly detecting the inflow of slag into a molten steel stream when a molten steel is poured into an intermediate vessel such as a ladle or a tundish from a refining vessel such as a refining furnace or a ladle through a tap hole or a nozzle, by supplying an inert gas into the molten steel flow inside the nozzle from the side of the tap hole or the nozzle and detecting the inflow of slag on the basis of changes in the flow rate of the inert gas absorbed into the molten steel stream and a back pressure.

Procédé permettant de détecter exactement l'écoulement du laitier dans un courant d'acier en fusion lors de la coulée d'acier en fusion dans un récipient intermédiaire tel qu'un creuset ou une poche de coulée à partir d'un récipient de raffinage tel qu'un four de raffinage ou une poche de coulée à travers un trou de sortie ou un ajutage. Le procédé consiste à injecter un gaz inerte dans l'écoulement d'acier en fusion à l'intérieur de l'ajutage à partir du côté du trou de sortie ou de l'ajutage, et à détecter l'écoulement du laitier en se fondant sur les variations du débit du gaz inerte absorbé dans le courant d'acier en fusion et sur la pression de contre-foulement.
