Abstract:
(EN) On each part of each electrode-line (-column) of the screen facing an interval separating two electrodes-columns (-lines) is arranged an element (40, 50) preventing light arriving to the screen in the direction of the element from traversing the screen. The elements arranged on the electrodes-lines (32) or those arranged on the electrodes-columns (34) provide for the electric connection-free spacing of the screen plates and the location of zig-zag faults that the liquid crystal may have in or at the vicinity of the non-switchable zone of the screen. As to the treatment, the screen is appropriately heated and an electric alternating voltage is applied between the electrodes in order to locate the zig-zag faults of the liquid crystal at the vicinity of the spacing elements. In order to obtain them, a positive resin layer may be isolated, through the plate intended to carry these elements and previously provided with opaque layers on the portions corresponding to said elements. (FR) Sur chaque partie de chaque électrode-ligne (-colonne) de l'écran, faisant face à un intervalle séparant deux électrodes-colonnes (-lignes) est disposé un élément (40, 50) empêchant la traversée de l'écran par une lumière arrivant sur celui-ci en direction de l'élément. Les éléments disposés sur les électrodes-lignes (32) ou ceux disposés sur les électrodes-colonnes (34) permettent en outre l'espacement, sans liaison électrique, des plaques de l'écran et la localisation des défauts de zig-zag que peut avoir le cristal liquide, dans ou au voisinage de la zone non commutable de l'écran. Quant au traitement, l'écran est chauffé de façon appropriée et une tension électrique alternative est appliquée entre les électrodes afin de localiser les défauts de zig-zag du cristal liquide au voisinage des éléments d'espacement. Pour obtenir ceux-ci, on peut insoler une couche de résine positive, à travers la plaque destinée à porter ces éléments et préalablement munie de couches opaques sur les parties correspondant à ces éléments. Application à l'affichage d'informations.
