Abstract:
(EN) Bis (amine-containing) benzenediols are prepared by the hydrogenation and dehalogenation of bis (amine-containing) dihalobenzoquinones using formic acid, formate salts or mixtures thereof in the presence of a noble metal catalyst. An example of a compound produced by this process is 2,5-diamino-1,4-benzenediol. The benzenediols produced by the process of this invention are useful as monomers in the preparation of polybenzoxazoles of high thermal stability and compressive strength.
(FR) Des bis-benzenediols aminés sont préparés par hydrogénation et déshalogénation de bis-dihalobenzoquinones aminés en utilisant de l'acide formique, des sels de formate ou des mélanges de ceux-ci en présence d'un catalyseur en métal noble. Un exemple d'un composé produit par ce procédé est le 2,5-diamino-1,4-benzenediol. Les benzènes diols produits par le procédé de cette invention sont utiles en tant que monomères dans la préparation de polybenzoxazoles ayant une grande stabilité thermique et une résistance à la compression élevées.
