(FR) DISPOSITIF PERMETTANT LA COMBUSTION DE PARTICULES DANS LES GAZ D'ECHAPPEMENT DE MOTEURS DIESEL
Abstract:
(EN) This invention relates to an apparatus for burning particulates in a diesel engine exhaust gas, having a trap (2) inserted into an exhaust passage of the diesel engine and provided with an electric heater (8) therein, a bypass passage (3) connected to the exhaust passage so as to shunt the trap (2), and a control valve (4) provided in the bypass passage (3) and adapted to control the flow rate of the exhaust gas flowing into the bypass passage (3), the particulates being ignited and burnt with the exhaust gas passing through the electric heater (8) and thereby heated to a higher temperature, comprising means (11a, 11b) for detecting the quantity of the particulates accumulated in the trap (2), a temperature sensor (10) provided on the upstream side of the trap (2) and adapted to measure the temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into the trap (2), and a control unit (12) adapted to control the supply of an electric current to the electric heater (8) and the opening and closing of the control valve according to the output signals from the particulate quantity detecting means (11a, 11b) and temperature sensor (10), the particulates being burnt reliably and speedily by the optimum control of the operations carried out by the control unit (12) at the regeneration starting time and the regeneration finishing time, whereby the durability of the apparatus is improved.
(FR) Dispositif permettant la combustion de particules dans les gaz d'échappement de moteurs diesel, ayant un piège (2) interposé dans un passage d'échappement du moteur diesel, à l'intérieur duquel se trouve un chauffage électrique (8), un passage (3) en dérivation relié au passage d'échappement de manière à coupler en dérivation le piège (2), ainsi qu'une valve de régulation (4) montée dans le passage (3) en dérivation et adaptée pour réguler le débit des gaz d'échappement s'écoulant dans le passage (3), en dérivation, les particules étant allumées et brûlées avec les gaz d'échappement passant à travers le chauffage électrique (8) et ainsi chauffées à une température plus élevée. Le dispositif, comprend des moyens (11a, 11b) destinés à détecter la quantité de particules accumulées dans le piège (2), un détecteur de température (10) monté sur le côté amont du piège (2) et adapté pour mesurer la température des gaz d'échappement s'écoulant dans le piège (2), ainsi qu'une unité de régulation (12) adaptée pour réguler l'alimentation en courant électrique du chauffage électrique (8) ainsi que l'ouverture et la fermeture de la valve de régulation, en fonction des signaux de sortie provenant des moyens (11a, 11b), de détection de quantité de particules et du détecteur de température (10). Les particules sont brûlées de manière fiable et rapide grâce à la commande optimum des opérations effectuées par l'unité de régulation (12) au moment du démarrage de la régénération et au moment de l'arrêt de la régénération, ce qui améliore la durabilité du dispositif.
