Claims

1. A method for reducing the friction between a vehicle provided with runners sliding preferably on snow and ice and the underlying surface, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that a medium containing heat energy is made to flow through a cavity (2) formed in the runners (10) for heating the sliding surfaces (1) of the runners (10).
2. The method of claim 1, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that exhaust-gases from the driving motor of the engine are used as heat energy containing medium.
3. The method of claim 1, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that cooling air or liquid from the driving motor of the vehicle is used as heat energy containing medium. 4. A runner for venicles comprising a sliding surface (1) and a cavity (2), c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that the cavity (2) is provided with apertures
(3;6,4) for supply and discharge of a heat energy containing medium and that the cavity (2) is provided with an insulating layer (5) on its upper side.
