Abstract
(EN) A device for rain-induced switching on and off of an electric windscreen wiper motor (10) in motor vehicles has a sensor (18) which responds to moisture on the windscreen and a control unit (16) which controls an electric switch (11) for switching on and off of the windscreen wiper motor (10) in function of the sensor signal. To ensure that the windscreen wiper motor (10) is switched off promptly when the rain stops independently of smear formation on the windscreen, the control unit (17) is designed to detect the change tendency of the sensor signal and to generate a switching-on signal only when the amplitude of the sensor signal increases in time above a predetermined amplitude.
(FR) Un dispositif de mise en marche et à l'arrêt du moteur électrique (10) d'un essuie-glace de véhicules en fonction de la pluie comprend un capteur (18) sensible à la présence d'humidité sur le pare-brise et une unité de commande (16) qui commande en fonction des signaux du capteur un commutateur électrique (11) de mise en marche et à l'arrêt du moteur (10) de l'essuie-glace. Afin d'assurer au moment approprié l'arrêt du moteur (10) de l'essuie-glace à la fin de la pluie, indépendamment de la formation de stries d'humidité sur le pare-brise, l'unité de commande (17) détecte un changement de tendance du signal du capteur et ne génère un signal de mise en marche que lorsque le signal du détecteur ne présente un accroissement temporel d'amplitude supérieur à une valeur prédéterminée d'amplitude.
