Abstract:
(EN) This invention concerns oriented and voided polypropylene films having increased rigidity, tensile strength and impact resistance compared with hitherto proposed oriented and voided films. This is achieved by the films having a melt flow index of from 1.5 to 18.0 and a polydispersity index of from 3.0 to 5.5. Films of low density, in particular of less than 0.69g/cm3, can be achieved while having these desired improvements in physical properties.
(FR) Des feuilles de polypropylène orientées et dotées de vides ayant une meilleure rigidité ainsi qu'une résistance à la traction et à l'impact améliorée en comparaison avec les feuilles orientées et dotées de vides proposées jusqu'alors. On est parvenu à ce résultat grâce à des feuilles ayant un indice de fusion allant de 1,5 à 18,0 et un indice de polydispersivité allant de 3,0 à 5,5. On peut réaliser des feuilles de faible densité, notamment inférieure à 0,69g/cm3, tout en bénéficiant de ces améliorations voulues des propriétés physiques.
