Abstract:
(EN) An adsorbent is prepared by mixing at least one member selected from a first group consisting of metal oxides and metal compounds capable of partly or wholly forming metal oxides when heated in an oxygen-containing atmosphere with at least one member selected from a second group consisting of metal sulfides and metal compounds capable of partly or wholly forming metal sulfides when heated in an oxygen-containing atmosphere, and heating the mixture in an oxygen-containing atmosphere. This adsorbent has a remarkably high ability of adsorbing heavy metals such as uranium. This adsorbent, which is easy to handle and can be produced with ease, enables recovery of uranium from sea water on an industrial scale because of its remarkably high adsorbing ability.
(FR) On prépare un adsorbant en mélangeant au moins un élément sélectionné à partir d'un premier groupe se composant d'oxydes métalliques et de composés métalliques pouvant former partiellement ou totalement des oxydes métalliques, lorsqu'ils sont chauffés dans une atmosphère contenant de l'oxygène, avec au moins un élément sélectionné à partir d'un second groupe se composant de sulfures métalliques et de composés métalliques pouvant former partiellement ou totalement des sulfures métalliques, lorsqu'ils sont chauffés dans une atmosphère contenant de l'oxygène, et en chauffant le mélange dans une atmosphère contenant de l'oxygène. Cet adsorbant a un pouvoir remarquablement élevé d'adsorption de métaux lourds tels que l'uranium. Cet adsorbant dont la manipulation et la production sont simples, permet la récupération d'uranium à partir de l'eau de mer, à l'échelle industrielle, grâce à son pouvoir d'adsorption remarquablement élevé.
