Abstract:
(EN) The balloon catheter of this invention includes a main lumen, a side lumen and a balloon, and a balloon fixing portion of a catheter body and nearby portions are small-diameter portions so as to have substantially the same outer diameter as the outer diameter of the remaining portions of the catheter body when the balloon is fixed. A soft resin is packed between both ends of the balloon and both ends of the small-diameter portion of the catheter body. Accordingly, a catheter tube containing the balloon has substantially the same outer diameter as a whole and can reduce any pain that might occur at the balloon insertion portion of a patient. The present invention relates also to a method of producing a balloon catheter including the steps of forming a catheter tube having a main lumen and a side lumen, forming a small-diameter portion as the fixing portion of a balloon and fixing the balloon to the small-diameter portion and packing a soft resin in a molten state between both ends of the balloon and both ends of the small-diameter portion of the catheter tube.
(FR) Le cathéter à ballon de cette invention comprend un passage principal, un passage latéral, un ballon et une partie de fixation du ballon d'un corps de cathéter, les parties proches étant de faible diamètre de manière à avoir sensiblement le même diamètre extérieur que les diamètres extérieurs des parties restantes du corps du cathéter lorsque le ballon est fixé. Une résine tendre remplit l'espace entre les deux extrémités du ballon et les deux extrémités de la partie à faible diamètre du corps du cathéter. Ainsi, un tube de cathéter contenant le ballon a sensiblement le même diamètre extérieur dans son ensemble, ce qui permet de limiter la douleur ressentie par un patient au niveau de la partie d'introduction du ballon. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de production d'un cathéter à ballon, consistant à réaliser un tube de cathéter ayant un passage principal et un passage latéral, à réaliser une partie de faible diamètre comme partie de fixation d'un ballon, à fixer le ballon à la partie de faible diamètre et à remplir de résine tendre en fusion l'espace entre les deux extrémités de la partie de faible diamètre du tube du cathéter.
