Abstract:
(EN) A locating system is arranged to determine the relative position of two bodies and their relative orientation. Directional radiation sources (54) transmit towards each respective body (51) and (52). Light from the source (54) on the body (51) is detected at the body (52) by a (non-directional) detector (53) to give angle B. Light from source (52) is detected by the non-directional detector (53) on the body (51) to give the angle A. Information relating to the angle B is then transmitted to the body (51) using the source (54) as a transmitter and the detector (53) as a receiver. The mean plane of each of the directional sources (54) on the bodies is known and thus a summation of angle A and B provides a measure of the orientation of the body (52) relative to an axis at the body (53).
(FR) Le système de positionnement est destiné à déterminer la position relative de deux corps et leur orientation relative. Des sources de rayonnement directionnelles (54) émettent en direction de chacun des corps correspondants (51 et 52). La lumière provenant de la source (54) et dirigée sur le corps (51) est détectée au niveau du corps (52) par un détecteur non directionnel (53), de façon à fournir un angle B. La lumière provenant de la source (52) est détectée par le détecteur non directionnel (53) sur le corps (51), de façon à fournir un angle A. Les informations relatives à l'angle B sont ensuite transmises au corps (51) par l'utilisation de la source (54) comme émetteur et par l'utilisation du détecteur (53) comme récepteur. Le plan moyen de chacune des sources directionnelles (54) dirigées sur les corps est connu et ainsi, la somme des angles A et B fournit une mesure de l'orientation du corps (52) par rapport à un axe du corps (53).
