Method and apparatus for removing a moulded piece, particularly a waste piece (9) from between the mould members (4, 6) of an injection moulding machine by means of a gripping member (12). The gripping member (12) is turned around the turning axis (15) attached to the platen (5). The gripping member (12) is turned along the trajectory (C$m(8)D) to between the mould members (4, 6), to the immediate vicinity (D) of the mould piece, whereafter the gripping member is pressed to engage the mould piece at the latest when the mould members (4, 6) have reached the determined maximum distance (a) from each other. A suitably strong force is directed to the gripping member in order to turn it out from between the mould members so that the turning of the gripping member along the trajectory (D$m(8)C) starts immediately after the ejection of the mould piece from the mould space has begun. The detection of the location of the gripping member is utilized in controlling the closing of the mould.

Le procédé et l'appareil décrits servent à démouler à l'aide d'une pince (12) une pièce moulée, telle que notamment une pièce de rebut (9) se trouvant entre les éléments de moule (4, 6) d'une machine de moulage par injection. Ledit procédé consiste à faire tourner la pince (12) autour de l'axe de rotation (15) fixé au plateau (5), selon la trajectoire (C$m(8)D) jusqu'entre les éléments de moule (4, 6), au voisinage immédiat (D) de la pièce moulée, puis à saisir la pièce moulée à l'aide de la pince en la serrant lorsque les éléments de moule (4, 6) se sont éloignés l'un de l'autre à une distance maximum déterminée (a). On applique ensuite une force d'intensité appropriée sur la pince, afin de l'éloigner par rotation d'entre les éléments de moule, de sorte que la rotation de la pince selon la trajectoire (D$m(8)C) commence immédiatement après le début de l'éjection de la pièce moulée de l'espace du moule. La détection de la position de la pince est utilisée pour commander la fermeture du moule.
