Abstract:
(EN) Magnetic record media that have an overlying or underlying magnetically saturable high permeability keeper layer (14) in addition to a high coercivity magnetic layer (13) in which magnetic signals are stored. These media are used in magnetic signal processing devices whose transducers (15) are capable of generating a keeper layer-saturating bias flux. In signal reproduction the bias flux magnetically forms a saturation zone in the nature of virtual gap in the keeper layer that directs signal flux between the media and the transducer.
(FR) Supports d'enregistrement magnétique possédant une couche de supports (14) magnétiquement saturables et de haute perméabilité placée au-dessus ou au-dessous d'une autre couche magnétique (13) de coercivité élevée, dans laquelle les signaux magnétiques sont enregistrés. Ces supports sont utilisés dans des dispositifs de traitement de signaux magnétiques dont les transducteurs (15) peuvent produire un flux de polarisation provoquant la saturation de la couche de supports. Lors de la reproduction du signal, le flux de polarisation forme une zone de saturation magnétique sous la forme d'un entrefer virtuel dans la couche de supports qui dirige le flux du signal entre le support et le transducteur.
