Abstract:
(EN) A method of measuring the distance between two objects and/or the speed of one object in relation to the other, the objects incorporating respectively a transmitter-receiver unit and a transponder or reflector, in which method a phase comparison is made between a signal transmitted by the transmitter-receiver unit and a signal received in the transmitter-receiver unit and transmitted from the transponder or reflector. In accordance with the invention the transmitter-receiver unit is caused to transmit signals of microwave frequency, preferably about 2450 MHz, this transmission comprising the transmission of a first signal having a first frequency, the transmission of at least one second signal having a higher or lower frequency, and the transmission of a third signal having the same frequency as the first mentioned signal, wherewith the phase differences O^/ between the transmitted signals are formed, these phase differences corresponding to the distance between the transmitter-receiver unit and the transponder.
(FR) Procédé de mesure de la distance entre deux objets et/ou de la vitesse d'un objet par rapport à l'autre, les objets incorporant respectivement un émetteur-récepteur et un répondeur ou un réflecteur, dans lequel une comparaison de phase est effectuée entre un signal émis par l'émetteur-récepteur et un signal reçu par l'émetteur-récepteur et transmis depuis le répondeur ou le réflecteur. L'émetteur récepteur est amené à émettre des signaux d'hyperfréquence, de préférence de l'ordre de 2450 MHz, cette émission comprenant l'émission d'un premier signal ayant une première fréquence, l'émission d'au moins un deuxième signal ayant une fréquence supérieure ou inférieure, et l'émission d'un troisième signal ayant la même fréquence que le premier signal mentionné, moyennant quoi les différences de phase O^/ entre les signaux émis sont formées, ces différences de phase correspondant à la distance entre l'émetteur-récepteur et le répondeur.
