Abstract:
(EN) New and improved thermal ink jet printhead and method of manufacture wherein a tape automated bond (TAB) flexible circuit (16) is sequentially thermosonically bonded in a one-by-one wire bonding process to aligned conductive traces on a thin film resistor substrate (10). These traces provide electrical current paths for a corresponding plurality of heater resistors on the substrate, and these resistors function to heat a corresponding plurality of ink reservoirs in a thermal ink jet printhead.
(FR) Nouvelle tête imprimante améliorée à jet d'encre thermique et son procédé de fabrication, consistant à utiliser un circuit flexible (16) à liaison automatisée sur bande (TAB) pour le lier de manière séquentielle et thermosonique selon un procédé de liaison de fil un-à-un sur des traces conductrices alignées sur un substrat d'une résistance à fines pellicules (10). Ces traces forment des chemins de courant électrique pour une pluralité correspondante de résistances chauffantes sur le substrat, et ces résistances chauffent une pluralité correspondante de réservoirs d'encre dans une tête imprimante à jet d'encre thermique.
