Abstract:
(EN) An improved heat activated dispenser (10) for releasing a vaporizable material into the ambient atmosphere. The heat activated dispenser (10) comprises a material (12) which imparts excellent thermal insulating properties which control the rate of vaporization and provides a long useful life of the dispenser. Due to the use of absorbent compactable materials (12), such as synthetic silicates, the dispenser (10) utilizes no binders and substrates. Rather, the dispenser (10) is an integral self-supporting structure. According to the novel method of manufacture there is provided a compaction apparatus for compacting the absorbent compactable material (12) such as synthetic silicate, into the integral self-supporting structure of the heat activated dispenser (10). A volume of the absorbent compactable material (12) is impregnated with the desired vaporizable material and added to the compaction apparatus, additional volumes of dry absorbent compactable material (12) may be added from dispenser (10).
(FR) Le distributeur thermo-activé amélioré (10) ci-décrit permet de libérer un produit vaporisable dans l'atmosphère. Le distributeur thermo-activé (10) comprend un matériau (12) qui confère d'excellentes propriétés d'isolation thermique et permet de réguler la vitesse de vaporisation, améliorant ainsi la longévité du distributeur. Grâce à l'utilisation de matériaux compressibles absorbants (12), tels que des silicates synthétiques, il n'est pas nécessaire d'utiliser de liants ni de substrats dans le distributeur (10). En outre, le distributeur (10) est une structure intégrale autoporteuse. Selon le nouveau procédé de fabrication de ce distributeur, on utilise un appareil de compactage qui permet de compacter un matériau absorbant compressible (12) tel que du silicate synthétique, à l'intérieur de la structure intégrale autoporteuse du distributeur thermo-activé (10). Un volume de ce matériau absorbant compressible (12) est imprégné de la matière ou du produit vaporisable désiré et ajouté à l'appareil de compactage, des volumes supplémentaires du matériau sec, absorbants et compressibles (12) pouvant être ajoutés du distributeur (10).
