Abstract
(EN) The liquid laden with solid materials to be clarified is introduced after two additions of a flocculation additive at the bottom of a mud bed (4a) in a clarification chamber (4) by means of a plurality of injectors (22) distributed on the surface of said chamber. The uniform distribution of the total flow rate between said injectors is insured by an internal load loss. The clarified liquid is discharged by an upper overflow chute (4b). Each injector is comprised of a flat cyclone and forms jets which are highly divergent from its vertical axis so that the injected flow rate is distributed on an expansion area proper to said injector and joining the expansion areas of adjacent injectors. Furthermore, said jets entertain vortices which prevent the formation of an insufficiently permeable mud layer. The mud formed in the chamber (4) is directed by a central well (7) towards a secondary clarification stage (3) located under said chamber and providing on one hand clarified liquid also and on the other hand a denser mud. (FR) Le liquide chargé à clarifier est introduit, après deux adjonctions d'un adjuvant de floculation, au bas d'un lit de bous (4a) dans une chambre de clarification (4) par une pluralité d'injecteurs (22) répartie sur la surface de cette chambre. La répartition uniforme du débit total entre ces injecteurs est assurée par une perte de charge interne. Le liquide clarifié est évacué par un déversoir supérieur (4b). Chaque injecteur est constitué par un cyclone plat et forme des jets fortement divergents à partir de son axe vertical, de manière que le débit injecté se répartisse sur une zone d'expansion propre à cet injecteur et rejoignant les zones d'expansion des injecteurs voisins. De plus ces jets entretiennent des tourbillons qui empêchent la formation d'une couche de boue insuffisamment perméable. La boue formée dans la chambre (4) est dirigée par un puits central (7) vers un étage de clarification secondaire (3) situé sous cette chambre et fournissant d'une part lui aussi du liquide clarifié et d'autre part une boue plus dense. Application aux industries minérales.
