Abstract:
(EN) A specifically-reactive sample-collecting and testing device possessing a cavity or cavities each having a dimension small enough to enable sample liquid to be drawn into the cavity by capillary action, wherein a surface of the cavity carries an immobilised reagent appropriate to the test to be carried out in the device, and wherein said surface is a surface of a transparent solid plate to act as a light-transmissive waveguide and forming a wall of the cavity, said plate having an edge which is substantially optically smooth and transverse to the plane of the plate.
(FR) Dispositif de collecte et de test d'échantillons à réactivité spécifique, possédant une ou plusieurs cavités dont les dimensions sont suffisamment petites pour permettre à l'échantillon de liquide d'être aspiré dans la cavité par capillarité, où une surface de la cavité porte un réactif immobilisé approprié au test à exécuter dans le dispositif et où ladite surface est une surface d'une plaque solide transparente conçue pour servir de guide d'ondes de transmission de lumière et formant une paroi de la cavité, ladite plaque comportant un bord essentiellement optiquement lisse et transversal par rapport au plan de la plaque.
