Abstract:
(EN) A clutch arrangement (10) for co-axial shaft members including a drive or input shaft member (12 or 14) and a driven or output shaft member (14 or 12); the arrangement having a disc (20) concentrically mountable on one of the shaft members for rotation with the one shaft member; a plate member (28) mountable on the other shaft member for rotation therewith and so as to extend at least diametrically of the other shaft member in substantially parallel relation with the disc (20), the plate member (28) having at least two openings (46) therethrough each axially in line with the disc (20); a respective axially extending, force applying arm (48) located in each opening; a frame member (50) inter-connecting each of the force applying arms (48); and respective friction pad means (52) on each side of the disc (20), each pad means (52) being operatively mounted such that on application of an axial force to the frame member (50), the axially extended arms (48) are movable to cause each of the pad means (52) to move relative to the disc (20) from one to the other of two relative positions, in a first of which positions the pad means (52) grip the disc (20), and in the second of which positions the pad means (52) release the disc (20); the disc (20) being rotatable with each of the plate member (28), the arms (48) and the frame member (50) with the pad means (52) in their first position, and being rotatable relative to each of the plate member (28), the arms (48) and the frame member (50) with the pad means (52) in their second position.
(FR) Dispositif d'embrayage (10) pour des éléments d'arbre coaxiaux comportant un élément d'arbre d'entraînement ou d'entrée (12 ou 14) et un élément d'arbre entraîné ou de sortie (14 ou 12); le dispositif comporte un disque (20) montable concentriquement sur l'un des éléments d'arbre afin de tourner avec cet élément d'arbre; un élément de plaque (28) montable sur l'autre élément d'arbre pour tourner avec celui-ci et de manière à s'étendre au moins diamétralement par rapport à l'autre élément d'arbre en relation essentiellement parallèle avec le disque (20), l'élément de plaque (28) comportant au moins deux ouvertures (46) alignées chacune axialement avec le disque (20), un bras respectif d'application de force (48) s'étendant axialement et situé dans chaque ouverture, un élément de châssis (50) interconnectant chacun des bras d'application de force (48), ainsi que des mécanismes respectifs de coussinet de frottement (52) sur chaque côté du disque (20), chaque mécanisme de coussinet (52) étant monté de façon fonctionnelle si bien qu'après application d'une force axiale à l'élément de châssis (50), les bras (48) s'étendant axialement sont déplaçables afin d'amener chacun des mécanismes de coussinet (52) à se déplacer par rapport au disque (20) de l'une à l'autre de deux positions relatives, le mécanisme de coussinet (52) agrippant le disque (20) dans une première position et le mécanisme de coussinet (52) libérant le disque (20) dans la seconde position; le disque (20) peut tourner avec l'élément de plaque (28), le bras (48) ou l'élément de châssis (50) avec le mécanisme de coussinet (52) dans leur première position, alors qu'il peut tourner par rapport à l'élément de plaque (28), aux bras et à l'élément de châssis (50) avec le mécanisme de coussinet (52) dans leur seconde position.
