A radio frequency transceiver in which the crystal resonator (42) and monolithic crystal filter devices (44) therein all operate at or near the operating frequency of the transceiver, and which employs a single piezoelectric element to achieve the functions of receiver signal filtering, transmitter signal filtering, receiver local oscillator signal generation, and transmitter local oscillator signal generation. To achieve these functions, a crystal resonator (42) and a monolithic crystal filter (44) are situated on the same substrate of piezoelectric material. The crystal resonator portion (42) of the piezoelectric device is employed to control the frequency at which a local oscillator (10) generates radio frequency energy. Such crystal controlled local oscillator is shared by a receiver mixer circuit (22) and a transmitter mixer circuit (38). Switching circuitry (60) is employed to switch the crystal filter portion (44) of the piezoelectric device from the receiver signal path to the transmitter signal path.

Emetteur/récepteur radio dans lequel le résonateur à cristal (42) et les dispositifs de filtre à cristaux monolithiques (44) fonctionnent tous à une fréquence égale ou proche de celle de l'émetteur, cet émetteur/récepteur utilisant un élément piézo-électrique unique pour obtenir les fonctions de filtrage du signal de l'émetteur, de filtrage du signal du récepteur, de production de signaux de l'oscillateur local du récepteur et de production de signaux de l'oscillateur local de l'émetteur.
