A method of specifying a three-dimensional curve includes a step of input data specifying a first projected curve (CV1) and a second projected curve (CV2) which are formed when a three-dimensional curve (31a) is projected onto each of two adjacent planes in Cartesian coordinates (e.g., an XY plane and a YZ plane), a step of obtaining coordinates (ai, bi) of an ith (i = 1, 2 ... ) division point (Pi) of division points which divide the first projected curve (CV1) into a large number of line elements, a step of obtaining coordinates (bi, ci) of a point (Qi) on the second projected curve (CV2) which has the coordinate (bi) along the common axis (the Y-axis) of the coordinate axes of the two adjacent planes, and a step of specifying the three-dimensional curve (31a) using a set of points (Ri) with three-dimensional coordinates (ai, bi, ci).

Un procédé permettant de spécifier une courbe tridimensionnelle consiste à introduire des données spécifiant une première courbe projetée (CV1) et une deuxième courbe projetée (CV2) qui sont formées lorsqu'une courbe tridimensionnelle (31a) est projetée sur chacun de deux plans adjacents en coordonnées Cartésiennes (par exemple un plan XY et un plan YZ), à obtenir les coordonnées (ai, bi) d'un ième(i = 1, 2...) point de division (P¿i) des points de division qui divisent la première courbe projetée (CV1) en un grand nombre d'éléments de ligne, à obtenir les coordonnées (bi, ci) d'un point (Qi) sur la deuxième courbe projetée (CV2) possédant la coordonnée (bi) le long de l'axe commun (l'axe Y) des axes de coordonnées des deux plans adjacents, et à spécifier la courbe tridimensionnelle (31a) en utilisant un ensemble de points (Ri) avec des coordonnées tridimensionnelles (ai, bi, ci).
