Abstract

An hydroxyaluminumphthalocyanine colorant compound with reduced green absorption having peak absorption bathochromically shifted to 621 nm. In a preferred embodiment, hydroxyaluminumphthalocyanine of the invention exhibits reduced absorption on both sides of the 621-nm peak as determined by the peak width at half maximum intensity. Hydroxyaluminumphthalocyanine is useful as an electrically photosensitive component in photoelectrophoretic imaging processes, as well as in electrographic developers as a toner constituent.

Composé colorant d'hydroxyaluminiumphthalocyanine à absorption réduite dans le vert et possédant une crête d'absorption décalée de manière bathochromique à 621 nm. Dans un mode préféré de réalisation, l'hydroxyaluminiumphthalocyanine ci-décrite présente une absorption réduite des deux côtés de la crête de 621 nm, démontrée par la largeur de la crête à la moitié de l'intensité maximum. L'hydroxyaluminiumphthalocyanine est utile en tant que composant électriquement photosensible dans des procédés de mise en image par photoélectrophorèse, ainsi que dans des révélateurs électrographiques en tant que constituant de toner.
