Abstract
(EN)
The converter for smelting steel comprises a body (1) so fabricated that it may turn about trunnions (6) of its supports (5), bottom tuyeres (2) and lateral tuyeres (3) provided for supplying oxygen and a fuel, which tuyeres are arranged in a refractory lining. The lateral tuyeres (3) are so arranged that a geometrical axis (7) thereof intersects a vertical axis (8) of the converter at a point (9), which is defined lower than an axis (10) of the trunnions (6) at a distance equal to 0.5-1.0 of the distance between a bottom (11) and a locus, where the axis (10) of the trunnions (6) and the vertical axis (8) of the converter are intersecting.

Le convertisseur pour la fonte de l'acier comprend un corps (1) conçu de manière à pouvoir tourner autour de tourillons (6) de ses supports (5), des tuyères de fond (2) et des tuyères latérales (3) prévues pour l'alimentation en oxygène et en combustible, lesquelles tuyères sont disposées dans un revêtement réfractaire. Les tuyères latérales (3) sont disposées de sorte que leur axe géométrique (7) intersecte un axe vertical (8) du convertisseur en un point (9) se trouvant plus bas qu'un axe (10) des tourillons (6) à une distance égale à 0,5-1,0 de la distance séparant un fond (11) et un centre d'intersection de l'axe (10) des tourillons (6) et de l'axe vertical (8) du convertisseur.
